Recently, the journalist arrived at the construction site of Coal Coking Expansion Project Phase III, Inner Mongolia Kingho Group. With buzzing noise produced by the concrete mixer, workers were speeding up to build the regenerator using silica brick. Hu Fengshan, who is in charge of the project, told the journalist that the Coal Coking Expansion Project Phase III with annual output of 1,000,000t would start its construction in January, 2012 and they were implementing civil works of the project and has completed 45% of the engineering quantity.
It is understood that, as a key project of coal chemistry in the Area, the Coking Project with annual output of 3,000,000t, Kingho Group will be completed in the following stages: The 2,000,000t Coking Projects of Phases I and III will have a total investment of RMB 1,140,000,000, introduce and absorb domestic mature production equipment and technologies and choose TJL4350D side tamping coke oven. Phase I will commence in March 2005 and be put into operation for coke production in January 2006. Phase III will commence in March 2006 and be put into operation for coke production in January 2007. The quality of products will stay at the standards of second class metallurgical coke. The Coal Coking Expansion Project Phase III started this year, with annual output of 1,000,000t, includes 1,000,000t/year coke tamping, 36,000t/year tar, 13,000t/year crude benzene and 12,000t/year oryzanin. T his project chooses cleaned coal, coking coal and concentrated sulfuric acid as raw materials and adopts TJL555D duplex, lower spraying, waste gas cycle and single thermal tamping coke oven as well mature and reliable tamping technologies. It starts in the end of this year and plans to be put into operation for coke production in 2013. The total investment of this project is RMB 800 million. At present, regional civil works construction including coal and coke reserving, coke making and chemical products recycling are being carried out.
At the same time, some equipment with long cycle have been purchased.
Hu told the journalist that, "Upon the completion of Phase III expansion project, it is estimated that the sales revenues will reach RMB 1.6553 billion and total profits RMB 350.57 million; Taxes of RMB 132.4 million will be paid and 580 employments will be created". The implementation of this project will further promote the development of coal, coal selection, coke making, metallurgy and transport and by-products including coal tar, crude benzene, thiamine and sulfur, thus contributing to comprehensive utilization of coal gas, extension of coal chemical industry chain as well as obtaining of better social and economic benefits (From Liu Hongzhang, Fang Hong).
